During the last semester, five second-year students from the Department of Arts at Musrara worked on pieces specifically created for display at Barbur Gallery. This work took place as part of the "Site-Specific Installation" course led by artist and lecturer Ruti De Vries, as part of an ongoing collaboration between the department and the gallery. The creative process began as a response to the exhibition space and its various architectural qualities. The building's history, the street visible through the windows, and the art exhibited in the gallery over the past months served as sources of inspiration for the students' work. Although each student worked independently, as the project progressed, shared emotional frequencies emerged across their creation. In these Hollow and dark days filled with uncertainty, the students produced works that explore the experience of absence and engage with emptiness through different materials and actions.
Sahar Shefler presents paintings on remnants of bulletin boards, alongside a large-scale assemblage that combines figures, stories, and materials he collects during his wanderings through Jerusalem.
Roi Lerner exhibits a series of photographs of empty clothing—garments devoid of bodies—that echo a traumatic event and conjure dark memories.
Inbar Alima presents a sculptural installation centered around faucet spouts. The intertwined spouts reflect secrets gathered from her classmates.
Vadim Tonkonog presents an ongoing process-based work that involves projecting a sequence of still images onto light-sensitive papers. The gallery’s video room transforms into a kind of darkroom, where the resulting images are hung, erased, and eventually disappear.
Hanna Halak presents a group of small sculptures depicting fictional, quasi-prehistoric creatures. The sculptures are placed in a distant corner of the gallery, surrounded by a tangle of pencil drawings.

המחלקה לאומנויות במוסררה מתארחת בגלריה ברבור

במהלך הסמסטר האחרון עבדו 5 סטודנטים משנה ב' במחלקה לאמנויות במוסררה על יצירות שיועדו מראש לתצוגה בגלריה ברבור. העבודה התקיימה במסגרת קורס ׳מיצב תלוי חלל׳ בהנחיית האמנית והמרצה רותי דה פריס, כחלק משיתוף פעולה מתמשך של המחלקה והגלריה. תהליך העבודה התחיל כתגובה לחלל התצוגה והאיכויות הארכיטקטוניות השונות שלו. ההיסטוריה של המבנה, הרחוב שנשקף מהחלונות והאמנות שהוצגה בחודשים האחרונים בגלריה שימשו את הסטודנטים כמקורות השראה לפעולה. הסטודנטים עבדו בנפרד, אך ככל שהעבודה על הפרויקט נמשכה, תדרים רגשיים משותפים נחשפו ביצירות השונות. בימים נבובים ואפלים, מלאים בחוסר ודאות, הסטודנטים יצרו עבודות העוסקות בחוויה של חוסר ומתייחסות לריקות ריקנות דרך פעולות וחומרים שונים.
סהר שפלר מציג ציורים על שיירי לוחות מודעות, ולצידם עבודת אסמלבאז׳ גדולת מימדים שמשלבת דמויות, סיפורים וחומרים שהוא אוסף בשיטוטי בירושלים.
רועי לרנר מציג סדרת צילומים של בגדים, ריקים מגוף, שמהדהדים התרחשות טראומטית ומעלות באוב זיכרון אפל.
ענבר עלימה מציגה מערך פיסולי במרכזו שפורפרות ברזים. פסלי השפופרות המשתרגים מהדהדים סודות שאספה מחבריה לספסל הלימודים.
ודים טונקונוג מציג עבודת משך תהליכית שמבוססת על הקרנה רצף של צילומי סטילס על גבי ניירות רגישים לאור חדר הוידאו של הגלריה הופך למעין מעבדת פיתוח – שתוצריה נתלים בגלריה, נמחקים ונעלמים.
חנא חלאק מציג חבורת פסלונים של יצורים בדיוניים, ספק פרהיסטוריים. הפסלונים מונחים בפינה הרחוקה של הגלריה, מוקפים בסבך רשום בעיפרון.
